DeWalt DW735x 13” 2-Speed Planer (includes extra knife set & fold out shelves) $499 + $35 S&H
I have Ridgid which I got recently. I don’t use a planner much as I work with dimensional lumbers mostly so far. I am starting to work with hardwood and that is why I got a planner. I think I will use a planner like once a month max.
Is paying double the money for this worth it?

Also should mention that you really want dust/chip collection for this as it has a very strong dust extraction motor. The “hack” is a 5 micron Rockler Dust Collection bag — you can attach the bag using a gasket to the back and it will fill up with the chips without the need for a vacuum. Total cost for that part should be sub $50
