DEWALT DCF899 is a whole series of impact wrenches that share close but slightly different features and hence price ranges. DCF899P2 was introduced around 2017 and 2018. It stands out from the series and previous models due to its compact design and lightweight build despite having the same brushless motors and 5 Ah batteries.

The previous model of the series DCF899P1 weighs around 7 pounds, whereas DCF899P2 weighs only about 6 pounds. Besides, it comes in two versions: one with the detent pin anvil and the other with a hog ring anvil. You get to have a choice here!

DCF899P1 comes with a single rechargeable lithium-ion battery. DCF899P2 comes with two 5.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, which means you can use one while the other recharges.

With the detent pin anvil, you need to press the detent pin to release the socket. Whereas with the hog ring anvil, you can remove the ring using bare hands.

My Experience with Dewalt DCF899P2

DEWALT DCF899P2 went through various tests and experiments before I reviewed it. It is a battery-powered tool, and you expect it to play its role as a perfect companion for DIY projects and medium-tier home tasks. But let’s see if it proves itself for that or not.

DCF899P2 is one beast of an impact wrench. When I first tested it for mediocre bolt tightening and loosening, it performed pretty well. I then upgraded the task demand for the impact wrench, and DCF899P2 was amazingly consistent in impressing us.

It is not just suitable for mediocre DIY projects and household tasks. It can also be reliably used for most heavy-duty tasks such as car maintenance. Even if you manage a car garage or repair and maintenance service professionally, DCF899P2 is a must-have tool for a quick job.

For tightening long bolts, mechanics usually use the more powerful pneumatic impact wrenches and then give the final push behind with the handheld battery-powered impact wrench. But with the high torque of DCF899P2, you only need one cordless impact wrench, and you are good to go.

Company Reaffirms Financial Outlook for Full Year 2022

NEW BRITAIN, Conn., June 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) today announced that its Board of Directors has named Donald Allan, Jr., currently President and Chief Financial Officer, the Company’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2022. Mr. Allan will succeed James M. Loree, who has served as CEO since 2016. Upon assuming his new role, Mr. Allan will join the Board of Directors and retain his title as President.  Also, as part of today’s announcement, the Company has appointed Corbin Walburger to serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2022.

Company Reaffirms Financial Outlook for Full Year 2022
The Company is reaffirming its 2022 outlook, which it provided on April 28, 2022. Specifically, for the full year 2022, the Company anticipates diluted EPS of $7.20 to $8.30 on a GAAP basis and $9.50 to $10.50 on a non-GAAP adjusted basis. Free cash flow is expected to be approximately $1.0 billion to $1.5 billion.
