Kayla Harrison and Martina Jindrova make weight for their Women’s Lightweight Semifinals Main Event
Chris Wade and Brendan Loughnane set for their Featherweight Semifinals Co-Main Event
2022 PFL Playoffs London airs live this Saturday, August 20th starting at 1:00 PM ET on ESPN+, the action continues on ESPN at 2:00 PM ET.
The Professional Fighters League continues with the 2022 PFL Playoffs London, which takes place at the Copper Box Arena in London, England tomorrow August 20. The card features must-see semifinals bouts in the Featherweight and Women’s Lightweight divisions. The main event will see undefeated American Kayla Harrison take on Martina Jindrova of the Czech Republic in a Women’s Lightweight semifinals bout.
Harrison, weighed in at 155-pounds, is seeking a historic third PFL world championship. She finished the Regular Season as the number 2-seed, with victories over Marina Mokhnatkina and Kaitlin Young. Jinrdova, meanwhile, weighed in at 154-pounds, as she tries to end Harrison’s undefeated streak. Jindrova finished the Regular Season as the number 3-seed, with wins over Vanessa Melo and Zamzagul Fayzallanova.
In the co-main event, Chris “The Long Island Killer” Wade of the United States faces London’s own Brendan Loughnane in a semifinals bout in the Featherweight division.
Wade came in at 145-pounds as he looks for a return trip to the finals. The 2021 Featherweight runner-up clinched the division’s top seed with wins over former two-time champion Lance Palmer and Kyle Bochniack. Loughnane, on the other hand, weighed in at 145-pounds for his return to the PFL Playoffs. The London native finished the season as the fourth-seeded featherweight, with wins over Ryoji Kudo and Ago Huskic.
In the other Women’s Lightweight semifinal, top-seeded Larissa Pacheco (155 lbs.) of Brazil meets fourth-seeded Olena “Cannon” Kolesnyk (156 lbs.) of Ukraine.
In the other Featherweight semifinal matchup, second-seeded Ryoji Kudo (145 lbs.) of Japan takes on Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins (146 lbs.) of the United States.
