U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - You can now take a “green tour” of the U.S. Air Force Academy, thanks to three senior cadets’ geospatial sciences capstone project.

Cadets first class Emily Lukowski, Maddie Williams and Ardent Almazan spent this semester researching and mapping the existing and planned sustainability features at the Academy.

“Before we started this project, we didn’t realize that so many of our facilities had so many sustainability features. You just don’t see many of them,” said Almazan, who is slated to go into U.S. Space Force operations after she graduates this June.

Sustainable Features

Turns out there are several sustainability projects that save money, provide energy efficiency and preserve natural resources each year. They include the solar array near the South Gate providing electricity, wastewater recycling for irrigation saving on water consumption, and a geothermal system at the cadet field house cutting energy costs as well as greenhouse gas emissions. Among the planned projects are renovations Sijan Hall to reduce energy consumption, updating landscaping to be more water-efficient by planting native grasses in select locations, improving the recycling program and installing electric vehicle charging stations.

The Academy’s facility planning and sustainability manager, Daniela Lawrence, worked with the cadets on the project.  She says sustainability is recognized as a national security issue.

“To assure its mission for future generations, the Academy needs to increase its resiliency, minimize costs and decrease waste,” Lawrence said. “Today the Academy recognizes there is a need to create best sustainability practices to ensure it meets the needs of the present without compromising its mission in the future.”

Future Benefits

The cadets say this project will not only be beneficial to the Academy’s future, but their future as officers.

“We learned how to dig for information, decipher a ton of data and determine what was important as it related to our project,” said Lukowski, a future pilot.

Their professor, Dr. Amélie Davis, said that the discovery process is usually the most difficult for students, but also the most rewarding and useful.

“It’s a great simulation for their future,” Davis said. “As officers, they’re going to be asked to go find a solution and they won’t know what the answer is when they start. They might as well learn what works and what doesn’t work in a classroom setting with someone overseeing what they’re doing and helping guide them.”

Williams said she can see how this experience will help her in her future as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force.

“I think it will really help me in intel, where you’re given a ton of information and you have to narrow down what is important,” said Williams.

Other geospatial sciences projects

After the cadets sifted through the data, they created a green tour map with the Story Maps web tool, allowing them to bring together a lot of what they’ve learned throughout their geospatial sciences and core curriculum. Other capstone projects being completed by cadets in Dr. Davis’ class include an energy dashboard visualizing gas and electric usage at each building at the Academy, a water runoff evaluation of 40 years of Colorado Springs’ urbanization, and a navigation and mapping plan for Fairchild Hall, among others.

2023 NFL draft: How the Tyreek Hill trade affects the Chiefs one year later

Adam TeicherESPN Staff Writer

  • Covered Chiefs for 20 seasons for Kansas City Star
  • Joined ESPN in 2013

LAST YEAR, WHEN the Kansas City Chiefs reached a tipping point with Tyreek Hill and decided his contract extension would be larger than they were comfortable in handling, general manager Brett Veach approached coach Andy Reid to begin discussions about what they would need in return if they were to trade Hill.

“At one point, I was like, ‘You know, Coach, if we can get a [first-] and a [second-round pick], we have to at least think about it,'” Veach said.

The two talked about how a trade could infuse some speed and youth into an aging defense, and not just with the draft picks they would acquire. The Chiefs would also obtain the necessary salary cap space to allow them to be players in free agency.

If the Chiefs worked their assets right, Veach and Reid discussed, they could adequately cover for the loss of Hill in the short term, while also strengthening and lengthening their window to win championships with Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback.

What to know for the 2023 NFL draft

The deal would get even sweeter before Veach and Reid made the decision to send Hill to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins’ offer evolved from a first-round pick to a first-, second- and fourth-rounder last year and a fourth- and sixth-rounder this year.

“The picks got a little more and the pieces started to fall together,” Veach said. “It got to the point where we said we could see it now, see that it made sense.”

The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII last season, beating the Philadelphia Eagles for their second championship in four seasons using players they acquired from the Hill trade in the process. The trade could continue to provide for the Chiefs this season with the picks in the fourth and sixth rounds.

The Chiefs have found solid starters in each of those rounds in recent years: cornerback L’Jarius Sneed in the fourth in 2020 and guard Trey Smith in the sixth a year later.

The trade could still come back to hurt the Chiefs, who lost two of their other top wide receivers, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, in free agency. But through one year, at least, the deal has worked out exactly as the Chiefs hoped.

“This trade was a way for us to make it work where we could still be aggressive and go after it [in 2022] but also protect our future,” Veach said. “This amount of picks and this amount of cap space were something we felt could help us last year and down the line.”

THE CHIEFS USED the three picks they obtained from the Dolphins last year to draft cornerback Trent McDuffie in the first round and wide receiver Skyy Moore in the second. They sent the fourth-round pick they acquired to the New England Patriots as part of the move up to get McDuffie.

McDuffie was an immediate starter, filling the hole created when Charvarius Ward signed a lucrative, long-term contract as a free agent with the San Francisco 49ers. Moore had less of an impact during the regular season, catching 22 passes, eighth on the team. But he had a long punt return to set up the game-winning field goal in the AFC Championship Game and scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl.

The Hill trade gave the Chiefs two picks in each of the first two rounds, a bounty for a team that had in recent years been picking at the end of each round. Until last year, the Chiefs had never made four picks in the first two rounds.

The Chiefs had 10 picks in all, turning them into a mostly defensive draft class that included six players who contributed on that side of the ball. Most notable were McDuffie; fellow first-round pick George Karlaftis, who had six sacks; and seventh-round cornerback Jaylen Watson, who had three interceptions, including one in the AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs in the seventh round also found running back Isiah Pacheco, who scored five touchdowns and led the team in rushing with 830 yards.

Draft picks were only part of what the Chiefs obtained in the Hill trade. Had they signed him to a contract extension, they would have faced an ominous future with regard to their salary cap.

Their salary cap obligations for Mahomes ballooned from about $7.5 million in 2021 to almost $36 million last year and almost $40 million in 2023. Absorbing the contract Hill signed with the Dolphins — it initially contained a cap number of about $31 million this year — would have left the Chiefs with some difficult choices to make.

“Everyone knew the cap situation,” Veach said. “Everyone knew what the next two or three years would look like and how many players we would have to cut and how hard that would be. Everyone understood why we had to do what we did and what the plan was.

“We always like to be players in free agency and then supplement that with a great draft. We were kind of looking at a period where we were going to be having to sit out in free agency and then maybe not be able to re-sign our own younger players who were going to need contracts.”

The trade allowed the Chiefs last year to sign in free agency two wide receivers, Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and a young safety in Justin Reid. Their major additions this year have been offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor and pass-rusher Charles Omenihu.

MAHOMES WASN’T INITIALLY thrilled about the Chiefs’ plans to trade Hill. The two combined on 343 passes, 4,854 yards and 43 touchdowns in Mahomes’ four seasons as the starting quarterback. Hill was the receiver on one of the most storied plays in Chiefs history, the 44-yard pass reception known as Jet Chip Wasp that sparked a fourth-quarter comeback in the Super Bowl LIV win over the 49ers.

Mahomes came around after Veach explained the plan, one that included the additions of Smith-Schuster and Valdes-Scantling and the drafting of a player like Moore.

“I wanted to keep [Hill], for sure,” Mahomes said. “They had a plan for it, though. They told me the plan and we were going to get these draft picks. We were going to go out there and bring in some free agent receivers and I think they executed on that.

Best of NFL Nation

“We know that to keep having success in this league we have to keep evolving, keep getting better. I always want to be successful this year, but at the same time, I’m here for the long haul. If we’re going to have a long time here, I want to have a chance to win Super Bowls every single year.”

Tight end Travis Kelce was also initially skeptical of what the Hill trade might mean for the Chiefs and for him. Kelce and Hill had been the Chiefs’ two top receivers for six seasons at the time of the trade.

“Yes, that was a question,” Kelce said late in the season. “But once I saw how hard guys were working, paying attention to details, how Pat keeps progressing as a quarterback … We’re in a good routine that we just keep getting better. You could feel that from the day we started from May until now.”

The Chiefs wound up leading the NFL in yards and scoring.

The Chiefs appear on good footing for 2023 and beyond. They could, like last year, cover a lot of ground in the draft. They have 10 picks, though just one in each of the first two rounds.

For that, they can thank the Hill trade. The Chiefs continue to succeed because of that deal, not in spite of it.

“Nobody wanted to lose Tyreek,” Veach said. “He was a great player for us. But if you’re going to do something, trust in the process and trust how you do things and don’t be afraid to commit to change a year sooner, when you have more ability to make those changes work in regards to your long-term planning.

“You know that unequivocally it’s the right thing to do for the organization, just from where we are in a short- and long-term perspective. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to miss the kid and not miss having him on Sundays, especially. It’s one of those difficult decisions where you know it’s the right thing to do, but that doesn’t make it any easier.”

100 Mile

Fourth at last year’s UTMBJim Walmsley (USA) was left without an automatic entry back, and so he did the work to get into the UTMB field. Walmsley won the mountain-to-sea 100-mile race here in 17:40, and it was a new course record. For perspective, Robert Hajnal (Romania) won last year’s race in 18:26, and Dylan Bowman (USA) won the 2017 race in 17:51.

Arthur Joyeux Bouillon (France) kept Walmsley company for part of the race and was second in 18:46, and Pavel Kruljac (Croatia) was third in 19:17.

Women’s winner Kimino Miyazaki (Japan) was over two hours better than everyone else. She finished in 23:11.

Mariya Nikolova (Bulgaria) and Stefania Burzincu (Romania) were second and third in 25:28 and 26:26, respectively.

110k

The men’s race ran really close. Theo Le Boudec (France) got just ahead of Helio Fumo (Portugal) at the front, and the pair finished in 9:55 and 9:58. Martin Halász (Slovakia) was third in 10:08.

The women ran for an even tighter finish. Sarah Vieuille (France) came in at 11:13 with Paulia Tracz (Poland) two minutes back in 11:15. Ida-Sophie Hegemann (Germany) was third in 11:27.

69k

The finish line was the tie that binds Stian Angermund (Norway) and Andrzej Witek (Poland). The two shared first in 5:19. Andrew Davies (U.K.) was third in 5:37.

KC Chiefs: Does John Ross have anything left in the tank?

From once being picked ahead of Patrick Mahomes in the 2017 NFL Draft to catching passes from him as a last hope to find a career in the NFL, John Ross has an outside shot at making the Kansas City Chiefs roster in 2023.

Ross was one of the most exciting receiver prospects in recent memory, mostly due to the fact he broke the record, one which he still holds, for the fastest 40-yard dash at the combine in NFL history with a time of 4.22 seconds in the 40-yard dash. That elite speed combined with plenty of athleticism was enough to get Ross drafted 9th overall to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017.

Fast forward to the present, and Ross’ NFL chances appear to be hanging on by a thread as he is on his third team in as many years after signing a futures deal with the Chiefs at the end of this past season.

Does John Ross have anything left in the tank for KC Chiefs?

Ross has had a rough go of things in the NFL so far. His biggest issue through five years in the NFL has been his injury history. The talent hasn’t been in question as Ross has shown flashes, but he’s only played in 37 of a possible 81 games. He’s suffered multiple season-ending injuries—not something that tends to get better as a player gets older. The odds aren’t in Ross’ favor.

However, there may be a little bit of hope that Ross gets things right in Kansas City and there just might be something left in the tank.

The biggest reason that Ross has going for him in his outlook of sticking with the Chiefs and being a contributor is the Chiefs training staff. Vice-president of sports medicine and performance Rick Burkholder and his staff have proven through the years that they are one of the best training teams around, and the Chiefs have consistently been one of the healthiest teams in the league. There’s optimism that the Chiefs could get Ross’ body right so he actually has a chance to show what he can do.

Again, Ross’ talent isn’t in question. In the seasons he’s been somewhat healthy, he’s had some production. He had a career-high of 506 receiving yards in 2019 and he averaged 18.1 yards/route. In his most recent stint with the Giants in 2021, he had 11 catches for 224 yards which gave him a ridiculous 20.4 YPR before he ultimately got hurt again. He clearly has the ability to stretch the field and be a dangerous weapon.

John Ross goes TURBO SPEED & gets the TD ⚡️

— New York Giants (@Giants) October 3, 2021

If Ross can figure it out health-wise, he may be able to crack the roster as WR5 or 6, but he’ll be up against a lot of competition to do so. Ross may also be able to boost his chances of making the team by returning punts and kicks. The speed is still there and the Chiefs will likely have a need there as bigger roles are expected for Skyy Moore and Isiah Pacheco in 2023 which would mean that they’ll no longer be doing returns. That provides a potential opportunity for Ross.

It’s a long shot, but Ross may have something to give the Chiefs in 2023. Brett Veach wouldn’t have signed him if he didn’t think there wasn’t any potential there and taking a shot on Ross and his speed to pair with Mahomes’ arm would be silly not to do. In the end, it’s all going to be dependent on Ross’ health.

Amazon Vendor Vs. Amazon Seller – Tech2globe Blog

Are you considering selling your goods on Amazon? If so, you’ve probably learned about a few of Amazon’s fulfillment choices and need to select between the two: either Vendor Central or Seller Central. You have the choice of selling through a first-party or third-party partner on Amazon, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. If you choose to join Vendor Central as a first-party vendor, you will be using it as a manufacturer or distributor. This enables you to sell products in large quantities to Amazon, which will then be able to market those products to its enormous client base under its own brand name.

Because the description typically includes the phrase “shipped from and sold by Amazon,” it will be simple for you to identify which products are being offered by Vendor Central partners. On the other side, you’ll select the Amazon Seller Central account if you do wish to use a third-party seller. You can use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) so that the business can handle and send out each and every one of your orders. Or, if you like, you can manage every step of shipping on your own. To help you choose the choice that best suits your needs, We as Amazon vendor central services provider will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using each of these services in this post.

What’s Next?

You must be invited to Vendor Central in order to participate in it; there is no other way to access this program. These sellers typically start off with a Seller Central account, expanding their business and creating demand for their goods. This will eventually get Amazon’s attention, and they will start buying their product in large quantities through the Vendor Central program. On the order page, if a business is selling products through Vendor Central, it will say, “ships from and sold by Amazon.”

Pros Of Amazon Vendor Central

You can benefit from using Amazon Vendor Central in the following ways:

Positive Comments

Your clients will be more confident in your products if you choose to sell them through a first-party seller like Vendor Central since they know that they are being offered by Amazon. Customers will feel more secure and confident placing orders through Amazon with the Amazon mark of approval, which they won’t necessarily experience with unrecognized third-party sellers.

Opportunities For Advertising

Brands can use Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) to bring their products in front of buyers by using robust tools with a variety of capabilities. With the use of keyword-targeted advertising campaigns designed to drive visitors to Amazon product pages, suppliers will be able to raise demand thanks to Amazon Marketing Services. While professional Amazon Marketing Services are available to both vendors and sellers, Vendor Central users will have a better platform to manage AMS advertising

campaigns. Success depends on managing your campaign and using your keywords throughout your offering.

Cons Of Amazon Vendor Central

You should be aware of the following drawbacks of AVC:

Pricing Issues

Amazon does not adhere to manufacturer-set Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) standards as closely as they need to. In other words, Amazon has adjusted and will continue to alter its retail prices based on its own proprietary algorithms. If it lowers their margins, something similar could result in a seller losing out on additional income.

Requirements For Logistics

To fill out purchase orders, Amazon provides rigid and explicit criteria. Chargebacks will be levied against vendors that have trouble keeping their inventory in check or completing orders swiftly, which will reduce their profitability as Amazon sellers.

Seller Central On Amazon

The interface that enables retailers to advertise and sell their goods directly to customers within the Amazon marketplace is made up of Amazon Seller Central. Depending on whether you open an Amazon Seller Central account, people will refer to you as a marketplace or third-party Amazon seller (3P). It is the responsibility of Amazon sellers to set up and manage their seller accounts. A seller account on Amazon is available to both individuals and professionals. Monthly subscriptions are required for professional seller accounts, which also make analytical tools accessible, offer preferential marketing treatment, and provide a few other capabilities that any expert Amazon seller will need to develop their business.

Pros Of Amazon Seller Central

Here are a few benefits to be aware of:

Positive Comments

A sizable amount of consumer data will be freely given to the merchant by Seller Central. You will be given access to Amazon consumer data, which can educate you about knowledgeable consumers and product trends by providing information on who is buying what and where they are headquartered.

In Charge Of Prices

If you want to sell through any other retail channels outside Amazon, you will be permitted uniformity since, as the seller, you will have total control over the prices you set. Additionally, there are options that permit changing your price in order to compete with the competition. Amazon vendor central consultants understand you better

Cons Of Amazon Seller Central

The following drawbacks are some to be aware of:

Positive Comments

The possibility of selling lower-priced goods through Amazon may occasionally be constrained by fulfillment or delivery costs. Currently, the minimum price for non-media FBA items under a pound costs about $2.41, excluding the extra commission that Amazon levies.

Issues With Marketing And Sales

Any Amazon seller out there has to be able to maintain control over their marketing and sales, yet the majority of sellers are unable to understand the necessary information. The seller will need to regularly manage their store by changing their product description, marketing their products through multiple channels, and otherwise keeping it up to date, just like any other storefront in the Amazon marketplace.

As a result of its success, Amazon is now frequently visited by customers looking to make a purchase. Looking back on early Jack Nicholson movie filmed in, around Clayton

When historic movie-making venues come to mind, Concord, Clayton, Antioch and Pacheco are not generally at the top of the list — maybe that needs to change. Jack Nicholson’s first film with top billing turns out to have been shot entirely in the area in 1960.

Called “The Wild Ride,” the black-and-white drive-in movie features a skinny 23-year-old Nicholson as “top stud” Johnny Varron, the leader of a group of wannabe beatniks who spend their time drinking beer, smoking, trying not to die in head-on collisions with oncoming traffic (playing “chicken”) and chasing girls (or not). It’s all set against a fairly consistent soundtrack of pretty groovy, fast paced bongo music, man.

Central Contra Costa County’s star turn here was due primarily to the efforts of the late Harvey Berman, who then worked in the Diablo Valley College (DVC) performing arts department. Berman would later serve as the Walnut Creek-based Center Repertory Company’s artistic director for five years, among other achievements in a long and distinguished area career.

A contemporary of B movie king Roger Corman at UCLA in the early 1950s, Corman tapped Berman to direct and produce “The Wild Ride” in his then-new hometown of Concord, where Berman had initially taken a job as the drama teacher at Mount Diablo High School. In addition to using local high school kids, some more experienced actors from Los Angeles, including Nicholson, were brought in for key roles.

Varron’s (Nicholson’s) gang wreak havoc at the Antioch marina, the long-ago-closed Contra Costa Speedway in Pacheco, somewhere near Dana Estates (now Concord’s Dana Hills neighborhood) and at an undisclosed beach along the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.

The film opens with Varron, driving an immaculate Ford Fairlane convertible, and soon being chased by a Concord motorcycle officer on a rural road. Varron’s car jumps in front of the officer as the officer tries to pass and causes the policeman to crash into a tree. As he leaves the scene Nicholson’s character mutters “chicken” to himself. The officer later dies.

Tracked down by the Concord police, Varron is hauled downtown. Ever the defiant one, he says they won’t be able to pin the crash on him. Foreshadowing his most famous line in “A Few Good Men” (“You can’t handle the truth!”) Nicholson’s Varron tells his interrogator “I don’t break the law, I make my own.” To add insult to injury, as he’s leaving Varron tells the Concord cop he’s “a very far-out stud.”

Aside from tangling with the local constabulary, Varron tangles with his best friend, Dave, over Dave’s budding love interest in Nancy, a straight-laced buzz-killer played by Nicholson’s real-life girlfriend at the time, Georgiana Carter. He also finds time to show off his sprint car racing skills at the Contra Costa Speedway dirt track known during its 1950s heyday as “California’s fastest quarter-mile speedway.”

After winning a bet made with a race track bookie, Varron takes the gang to the most recognizable Contra Costa County location in the movie, the former Chubby Humble’s Pioneer Inn restaurant and watering hole in Clayton. There the gang down more malt beverages and carouse before Varron kidnaps, Nancy leading to a fitting end for Nicholson’s character and the movie.

Built in 1860, the former Chubby’s inn has served over the years as a Pony Express stop, perhaps a brothel and as a fine-dining destination for stars such as Gary Cooper and John Wayne, who used to pop in for a steak after a day of quail hunting nearby. Patrons could pick from various cuts on display at the entrance.

Today, the building’s role is a little more respectable — it houses Clayton Community Church. Pastor Shawn Robinson, who started the church more than 25 years ago with 12 friends, now uses what used be the restaurant’s meat locker as his office.

Fully aware of the site’s past glory, Robinson says he has attempted to resurrect the stone barbecue pit behind the restaurant where Varron and his crew mingle in the film but that every time he does someone steals the new barbecue grills. Despite the fact that “The Wild Ride” is not something he would ever show at the church — aside from moral considerations, Robinson (like most people) doesn’t exactly think of the film as a cinematic tour de force — the pastor has embraced the building’s place in film history.

“We want our church to be for the whole community. So in that sense, we’re fine with it,” says Robinson.

Not all church members are aware of, or seem to care about, the building’s early role in Nicholson’s storied film career, though. Edie Moore Olson didn’t know about the connection but has a message for Nicholson.

“It makes me wonder if he knows how lucky he is to have been a part of our lore, our story?” she said. “Maybe we can have him come and cut a ribbon or something,” she added with a laugh.

“The Wild Ride” is available for free on YouTube (), and a TV movie remake of the film called “Velocity” was made in 1999 that features Jason Sudeikis of current “Ted Lasso” fame and newer footage that makes the original film a long flashback sequence.

Jeremy Renner Credits Daughter For Inspiration As Intense Recovery Continues

Jeremy Renner holds credit for training his body non-stop to get back in shape since his snow plow accident but it is his daughter, Ava Berlin, who gives him the extra motivation he needs.

Four months ago, news of the renowned actor’s near-fatal incident that left him with 30-plus broken bones found its way into the spotlight but despite the severity of his blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, he has started easing his way back to his former normal.

However, on that road to full recovery, the “Hawkeye” actor asserts his baby girl, who he shares with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, has been nothing but helpful and supportive and he shares the trick with fans.

Jeremy Renner Shares Workout Video And Inspiring Notes From His Daughter

The father-of-one uploaded several posts on his Instagram story that showed the dearest way his daughter is helping to motivate him during his snowplow injury recovery. Per the updates, the 10-year-old leaves inspirational Post-it notes for him throughout the house for his workout sessions.

One note from the pre-teen was stuck to the mirror and it read, “Hi Beautiful” with a smiley face and heart. The doting father wrote over the post, “My daughter inspires Me… What inspires you ??”

In a separate photo, Renner captures another note Ava left on a piece of gym equipment. “Just keep running. Just keep running,” the note read. The proud father added to the pic, “She leaves me post it notes all over To keep me going !!”

The “Avenger” star spiced up his IG Story for his Instagram followers with a workout session of himself. In the subsequent upload, Renner appears to be in the living room of his home training with a set of dumbbells. He donned a white shirt with blue-black shorts and a face cap accompanied by multi-colored training shoes.

As the brief video progressed, fans of the “Dahmer” actor could view him in a workout mood. He put his right leg on a black mini stool and used his left hand to raise a dumbbell to his chest multiple times before switching positions.

The “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” actor has been using his social media account as his precursory way of informing fans of recovery but a few days after he shared his physical therapy sessions, he celebrated his beloved girl’s birthday.

The Blast noted that Renner penned a sweet note to Ava, reflecting on how proud he was of her and how she healed him in the best way. He wrote:

“Happy 10th birthday to you! So very proud of you in every way. Your hugs and your love have healed me so incredibly fast. I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you. I am your father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you, Daddy.”

Jimmy Kimmel Crowns Jeremy Renner  The ‘Toughest Avenger’

Renner joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise in 2012 but since its inception in 2008, the debate of who is the toughest Avenger is a recurring chatter amongst fans and the characters themselves.

However, the “Rennervations” star’s January 1st accident may just have ended the debate. The Blast detailed how Jimmy Kimmel crowned the “Mayor of Kingstown” star the ‘toughest Avenger’ as he made his first TV appearance on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” stage.

The duo promptly began conversing, with the host jokingly questioning whether it was a publicity stunt. To which Renner responded, “Absolutely.” The beloved comedian then quipped, “Now, if there was any question as to who the toughest Avenger was, that’s settled now, right? Forget [Chris] Hemsworth, forget these guys; it’s you; you’re the guy.” However, the star hesitated to agree with the producer.

When the conversation was shared on Instagram, hundreds of fans were in agreement. One fan gushed, “He’s truly my hero and inspiration for life. Jeremy is one true miracle, and I’m so glad to see him up and walking.” A second exclaimed, “The man. The myth. The LEGEND!!!” and a third wrote, “What a recovery this guy has made!”

Kerr Heads Chelsea Into 2022-23 Women’s FA Cup Final – Sport Grill

Sam Kerr headed Chelsea into their seventh Women’s FA Cup Final in a tense 1-0 semi-final win at Aston Villa.

Kerr headed in Guro Reiten’s 59th minute cross from close-range to settle a tight contest in which Villa dominated, yet Chelsea’s experience ultimately proved the difference as they secured their seventh appearance in the Women’s FA Cup Final.

Villa meanwhile misses out on the chance to make their first-ever appearance in the Women’s FA Cup Final, after a series of saves from Chelsea’s Zecira Musovic.

Chelsea will now meet Women’s Super League title rivals, Manchester United in the Women’s FA Cup Final on Sunday 14 May, at Wembley Stadium, London, where the Blues are bidding for a fifth overall Women’s FA Cup title.

It just had to be!

Having triumphed in their WSL meeting before the international break, two-time defending champions Chelsea began as firm favourites to reach a seventh Women’s FA Cup Final in their history.

Emma Hayes’ Blues however were under early pressure as Villa’s Jordan Nobbs teed up Rachel Daly with a second-minute through ball, which was blocked.

Villa though were fortunate to not fall behind in the 11th minute after Magdalena Eriksson’s header from a corner was directed straight into Hannah Hampton’s arms, having conceded the set-piece through Maz Pacheco’s block of Jelena Cankovic’s low cross.

Lauren James meanwhile proved Chelsea’s most influential threat in the first-half amidst sloppy final touches, of which her best chance fell in the 17th minute, as she flicked Reiten’s short corner over the bar.

James also wasted a huge chance in the 27th minute as she intercepted Kenza Dali, but fired wide of the near-right corner, which came barely a minute after Kerr saw a tame shot from Reiten’s cutback pass saved by Hannah Hampton.

Villa meanwhile weathered waves of Chelsea attacks throughout the first half and almost claimed a 34th minute lead, as Kirsty Hanson played an one-two move on the left flank with Pacheco but ultimately curled over the bar as she targeted the far right corner.

Hanson one minute later teed up Daly with a cross but Eriksson was alert to make a crucial block, and the subsequent corner was cleared.

January signing, Lucy Staniforth then attempted a 25-yard screamer towards the top-right corner in the 43rd minute, yet Musovic was alert to crucially save the shot and deny Carla Ward’s Villains a surprise lead as the hosts chased a first-ever Women’s FA Cup Final appearance.

Chelsea right-back, Eve Perisset delivered the last shot of the first half as she pounced upon Cankovic’s cross, yet could only volley over the bar as neither team broke the deadlock before half-time.

Perisset’s miss however provided Chelsea with immediate spark at the start of the second-half as James flicked a cross behind for Cankovic, who was only able to rattle the top-right corner of the crossbar.

Reiten saw a 50th minute free-kick saved by Hampton after she had opted to curl low under a gap in Villa’s defensive wall, before Sarah Mayling went up the other end seconds later but chipped her shot over the bar.

Chelsea continued to build upon their high-energy start to the second-half as several shots were denied in rapid succession during the 56th minute.

Villa though wasted two decent chance to take the lead just before the hour mark as Daly headed wide from Dali’s cutback cross in the 58th minute, before Lehmann fired wide barely a minute later after she intercepted Melanie Leupolz’s clearance of Jordan Nobbs’ cross.

That inaccurate shot however came back quickly to bite Villa as Chelsea broke forward and Reiten played an one-two move with Cankovic, which led Reiten to eventually whip in a cross to the far-right post for Kerr to nod in from close range to put the four-time champions ahead.

Villa nevertheless refused to give up as Staniforth and Hanson soon afterwards saw shots denied by Musovic, whilst Daly headed over the bar from a 67th minute corner.

Dali missed a huge chance to equalise and take the tie to extra-time in the 81st minute as she pounced upon a deflection of Hanson’s cross, yet was only able to fire over the bar as Villa dominated the closing 20 minutes.

Mayling meanwhile hit the left-post in the 84th minute as she picked up a loose defensive clearance amidst continued pressure from Villa.

Chelsea eventually clung on to clinch their seventh overall Women’s FA Cup Final appearance where they will chase a fifth title, whilst also seeking to become only the third team to win three consecutive titles in this competition after Southampton and Arsenal.

What’s Next?

Villa resume their WSL campaign next weekend with a trip to Tottenham on Sunday 23 April at 2pm BST.

Chelsea meanwhile are in Women’s Champions League action on Saturday 22 April as they host Barcelona at Stamford Bridge, in the first leg of their semi-final tie at 12:30pm BST.
