주일 중국 대사관이 일본인에 대한 일반 비자 발급 심사를 재개한다고 공지했습니다.
세계 각국의 중국발 입국 규제 움직임에 맞서 내렸던 보복 조치를 푼 겁니다.
그러나 일본과 함께 표적이 됐던 우리나라에 대한 언급은 없었습니다.
지난 27일 우리 정부가 중국인에 대한 비자 제한을 1달 더 연장하겠다고 발표한 지 이틀 만에 나온 반응입니다.
[왕원빈 / 중국 외교부 대변인 (지난 10일) : (일부 국가가) 여전히 차별적인 입국 제한 조치를 시행하고 있어서 중국은 이에 반대하며 대등한 조치를 취한 것입니다.]
춘제 이후 중국 내 감염 재확산 가능성을 이유로 꼽은 우리 정부의 판단을 정면 반박하는 듯한 발표도 내놨습니다.
춘제 연휴 전후로 코로나19 사망자가 오히려 절반으로 줄었다고 주장한 겁니다.
3년 동안 막았던 자국민의 해외 단체 관광을 다시 풀어주면서도 우리나라를 쏙 빼놓은 상태입니다.
관영 매체들은 중국인 관광객을 막으면 한국만 손해라며 혐한 여론을 부추기고 있습니다.
최근 한국의 음력설 두고 쏟아진 중국 누리꾼들의 악플 세례나 우리 학술기관 12곳에 대한 해킹 공격도 이런 흐름과 무관치 않아 보입니다.
양국 간 감정의 골이 깊어지는 가운데, UN은 중국의 성장률이 1%p 감소하면 한국도 0.2%p 줄어들 만큼 경제적으론 여전히 밀접한 사이라고 분석했습니다.

NATO’s secretary general has urged South Korea to provide military support for the government in Ukraine.
