Obwohl Susi die Brosche dank ihres einwandfreien Zustandes einfach so hätte weiterverkaufen können, hat unsere Händlerin größere Pläne. Sie will das edle Schmuckstück aus 750er Gelbgold in einen Statement-Ring mit Diamanten verwandeln. Dafür bekommt sie Hilfe vom Goldschmied ihres Vertrauens. Dieser trennt die Brosche zunächst von den Akoya Zuchtperlen, um Platz für die neuen Diamanten zu schaffen. In einem zweiten Schritt stellt der Goldschmied eine Ringschiene her, die er zum Schluss mit der Brosche als neuen Ringkopf vereint. Jetzt fehlen nur noch die 20 Diamantherzen, die die Akoya Zuchtperlen ersetzen sollen. Na, wenn das kein perfektes Geschenk zum Valentinstag ist …
