Cordless stick vacuum cleaners allow us to nip around the house and clean fast without need to be near power sockets but they’re either super expensive or they’re flimsy and have a short battery time.
But the Black + Decker Powerseries Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner & Hand Vac is the ideal middle ground as it’s powerful, easy to manoeuvre and durable, but it’s a lot more affordable than brands like Shark and Dyson, especially over Black Friday.
Usually priced at $149.99, the powerful dirt buster is now just $99, which is a small price to pay for something that you’ll probably use daily for several years.
The Black + Decker Powerseries Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner & Hand Vac is on sale for under $100 on Amazon today – saving you $50
As the Black + Decker Powerseries Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner & Hand Vac super lightweight, it’s simple to get out for mopping up spillages but the decent battery time means you can cover a lot of ground when it’s time to do a deeper clean.
Even better is that it works on both hard floors and carpets thanks to the angled. If you need to reach high corners or crevices, simply pop off the top and use it as a handheld vacuum.
The Black + Decker Powerseries Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner & Hand Vac is popular with Amazon shoppers, with an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 from more than 800 satisfied customers.
‘I LOVE everything about this vacuum!’ one shopper raved in their review on Amazon. Cordless and lightweight with huge suction power!
‘The light in the front is awesome and it’s so easy to clean! Just as good as my Dyson if you can believe that and plus it does area rugs great! I bought 2 of them!’
If you need to reach corners or crevices, pop off the top and use it as a handheld vacuum
To really help you do a thorough clean, there are LED lights on top of the brush so you can see in all the nooks and corners
Another reviewer added: ‘It has amazing suction and the brush head does an excellent job on the linoleum floors as well and the rugs and even my textured vinyl entry mat. The canister and filter are easily removed and cleaned – everything is so easy.’
Households with lots of furniture and hard-to-reach places will appreciate the smooth-pivot steering of the Black + Decker Powerseries Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner & Hand Vac for easy handling and maneuvering all over the house.

Are my hands getting bigger or are these power tools getting smaller? Towards the end of 2019, DeWALT released a new sub-compact series dubbed The Atomic. Similar to Makita’s sub-compact series, this was DeWALT’s entry into having more options based on the same battery platform. Flash forward and DeWALT has a new Atomic Combo Kit with Drill Driver, Impact and Black and Gold Drill Bits!
*This post is part of The Home Depot ProSpective Tool Review. Affiliate links to follow.
Check out the video review above! And after you’ve watched, make sure you subscribe to the Lazy Guy DIY YouTube channel and give this video a thumbs up!
In this DeWALT Atomic kit you get the following pieces:
At 5.1″ from back to chuck, the Atomic Impact Driver is decked out with 3 LED lights and 1700 in./lbs. of torque. Meanwhile, the Atomic Drill Driver comes with one LED foot light and 340 unit watts out (UWO) of power.
So what does that mean to you? If you watched the video above (go back and watch the video above!) you’ll see who I recommended these tools for. With a brushless motor, you get a more efficient tool that doesn’t drain a battery as fast. But in this kit, you’re also getting a smaller battery. So will this tool with the included batteries be jobsite ready? In terms of tools in hand all day, no chance. But you can always swap out your batteries for some bigger DeWALT 20v Max.
In terms of power, the DeWALT Atomic impact driver holds its ground to the sub-compact competition. You’re very much in-line with the Makita XDT15 LXT. The DeWALT Atomic Drill Driver is what needs to pack a little more punch though in my opinion. But that’s coming from someone who generally uses a full sized hammer drill instead of a normal drill driver. Basic driving and drilling are no issue. However, tougher tasks like using a hole saw or trying to driver bigger lag screws take it a toll on the driver and require a little patience. It will get the job done, but you’ll hit the clutch a few times and have to restart before you’re through.
You can pick this DeWALT combo kit and more at your local Home Depot!

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. (NYSE: SWK) is poised to benefit from the ongoing strength in power tool demand. The $1.9 trillion stimulus also lends further upside, according to BofA Securities.
The Stanley Black & Decker Analyst: Ross Gilardi upgraded the rating for Stanley Black & Decker from Underperform to Neutral, while raising the price target from $185 to $205.
The Stanley Black & Decker Thesis: The demand for power tools remains extremely strong and the $1.9 trillion relief bill could magnify this, Gilardi said in the upgrade note.
“SWK has talked down the risk of rising input costs at recent competitor events, and the company has an investor day on May 13th that some may view as a positive catalyst,” he added.
At the investor day, the company “could pledge to drive Tools & Storage operating margin above 20% through the cycle and officially bless the buyout of the remaining 80% of MTD that it doesn’t already own,” the analyst said.
SWK Price Action: Shares of Stanley Black & Decker were trading almost flat at $191.98 at the time of publication Friday.
