ATLANTA, GEORGIA – July 2, 2022 – The Professional Fighters League (PFL) capped off the 2022 Regular Season with an eventful night of action at PFL 6, live from Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The nine-fight card featured bouts in the Women’s Lightweight and Welterweight divisions with eight fighters now having clinched spots in the 2022 PFL Playoffs.
In the PFL 6 main event, two-time PFL Women’s Lightweight World Champion Kayla Harrison put on an impressive display, stopping Kaitlin Young by TKO in the first round. The result earned the two-time Olympic gold medalist six points and the second-seed in the 2022 Playoffs.
In the evening’s co-main event, Sadibou Sy defeated Rory MacDonald by unanimous decision, earning 3 points in the Welterweight division and clinching the second seed in the 2022 PFL Playoffs. Sy returns to the postseason where he will take on Brazilian Carlos Leal, the third seed in the Welterweight bracket. Despite the result, MacDonald will enter the Playoffs as the division’s top seed and will take on Magomed “Prince” Umalatov, who defeated Jarrah Al Silawi earlier in the night with a vicious first round TKO.
“The 2022 PFL Regular Season concluded with some incredible action from OTE Arena in Atlanta tonight,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “The Playoff matchups are now set and we can’t wait for our postseason events this August in New York City, Cardiff and London.”
“The PFL athletes delivered great action tonight as the final Playoff berths were decided,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo. “We are proud of all the great athletes that gave MMA fans an amazing 2022 PFL Regular Season. Now we move to the PFL Playoffs on the road to the PFL World Championship.”

Two-time PFL Welterweight champion Ray Cooper III needed just 24 seconds to bounce back from a disappointing loss at PFL 3 with a first round TKO victory over Brett Cooper. The Hawaii native’s 16th career knockout wasn’t enough to propel him into the PFL Playoff picture however, as he ended the season sitting at sixth place in the standings with five points.
Magomed Magomedkerimov defeated Dilano Taylor by second round TKO, earning five points and coming up just short of making the PFL Playoffs. With the result, the 2019 PFL Welterweight champion moves his record to 29-6 with 11 career TKOs.
Larissa Pacheco earned 6 points and the top seed in the Women’s Lightweight playoffs with a first round TKO over Genah Fabian. The Brazilian now has four-straight first round knockouts and will look to continue her streak against Olena Kolesnyk in the 2022 PFL Playoffs.
Martina Jindrova, a 2022 PFL Challenger Series contract winner, defeated Zamzagul Fayzallanova by first round TKO, earning 6 points and clinching a spot in the 2022 PFL Playoffs where she’ll take on Harrison.
Kicking off the card on ESPN+, Kolesnyk defeated Vanessa Melo by unanimous decision, earning 3 points in the women’s lightweight division. The native of Ukraine clinched a spot in the 2022 PFL Playoffs after Marina Mokhnatkina defeated Abigail Montes by split decision later in the night.
The PFL will return to action on Friday, August 5th live from Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater as the 2022 PFL Playoffs commence with the Lightweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. As the PFL Regular Season concludes, 24 fighters have advanced to another win-or-go-home bout in pursuit of the $1 million purse. 2021 PFL Light Heavyweight champion Antonio Carlos Jr. looks to return to the PFL World Championship, and Anthony Pettis will look to rebound in a rematch against Stevie Ray and advance to the final.
All PFL 2022 Season events are live in primetime on ESPN, ESPN2/ESPN+ and ESPN3 (Spanish), as well as on a wide and diverse group of premier global distribution partner platforms reaching 160 countries around the world.

Anyone who saw 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is well aware that Marvel’s multiple realities are jam-packed with a dizzying array of Spider-persons of all shapes, sizes, races, genders, and species. So, the comic book giant had to eventually introduce a gay version of the web slinger, right?
Earlier this week, out comic writer Steve Foxe revealed the upcoming debut of the first queer Spider-man: Web-Weaver!
The character will make his first appearance in September’s fifth issue of Edge of Spider-Verse. From what the Eisner award-nominated Foxe has said on Twitter, it sounds like Web-Weaver will be an unapologetically fab and femme superhero.
“Something I realized immediately when conceiving Web-Weaver is that he can’t–and shouldn’t–represent ALL gay men. No single character can,” Foxe wrote in a tweet earlier this week. “His fearlessly femme identity is central to who he is, but it’s not the STORY…which you can experience for yourself in September!”
Foxe has since turned his Twitter account private.
Marvel’s official description of the character calls him a “not-so-mild mannered fashion designer” whose spider-powers allow him to show us “a very different kind of Spider-Slayer.” Don’t ask us what a “Spider-Slayer” is, but judging from his costume, Web-Weaver definitely slays!

Comic artist Kris Anka designed the character’s look and described some of his high fashion influences on Twitter. “I looked at a lot of McQueen and Mugler for this as inspiration,” he wrote. “I cast a wide net for the original designs while also looking at new and unique spiders that @steve_foxe has recommended, which eventually paired down to this look.”
The five-part Edge of Spider-Verse series, written by Foxe, Mark Bagley, Dan Slott, Alex Segura, and Karla Pacheco, launches in August.
It’s clearly too early to start speculating whether Web-Weaver could make it into a future Spider-Man film, but it is not totally out of the realm of possibility. At least two actors who have played the hero have said they’re open to more queerness in the movies.
“The world isn’t as simple as a straight white guy,” Tom Holland told The Sunday Times in 2019. “It doesn’t end there, and these films need to represent more than one type of person.”
And in 2013, Andrew Garfield told Entertainment Weekly that he’d questioned the character’s sexuality. “Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking!… So why can’t he be gay? Why can’t he be into boys?”
There were even rumors ahead of last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home that one of the three Spider-Men featured in the film could be depicted as bisexual.

A common question early each each spring is “Where should I purchase my vegetable seeds from”? Today I will share some of the most popular and some of the less popular but equally as good places to buy vegetable seeds from in Canada (specifically western Canada), broken down by province, as well as top 3 favourite places to purchase seeds from!

Browsing through catalogs, ordering seeds and planning for our gardens each year is such a fun part of gardening! Most of these companies carry both GMO and non-GMO heirloom seed varieties with some of the seed companies carrying heirloom varieties only. A few of these companies offer mail out catalogs! I am one of those people who love a physical catalog I can read through again and again, circling, highlighting and making notes as I go.
Here is a list that is by no means exhaustive of Canadian seed companies. If I am not familiar with the company and have not used their seeds I have not included notes specific to that company.

McKenzie Seeds are one of the most common varieties of seeds you will likely find in stores. They carry a large selection of many varieties of seeds.
