Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are about to go toe-to-toe, for a third time, tonight, in their trilogy super middleweight clash in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is underway as we build up to their unification bout. Can Canelo bounce back from his loss earlier this year? Can GGG wreak his revenge? The ringwalks are expected at 11pm ET / 4am BST and the full fight is either a PPV, a simple subscription or even free for those in Mexico. Away from home? Make sure you know how to watch a free Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream from abroad.
Date: Saturday 17th Sept 2022
Start time: 8pm ET / 1am BST
Main event: 11am ET / 4am BST
FREE stream: Azteca 7 (opens in new tab) (Mexico)
Watch Azteca 7 from anywhere with ExpressVPN (opens in new tab)
“I’ll be looking to get the stoppage,” said Alvarez, at yesterday’s weigh-in, where both boxers looked in top shape ahead of the 168lb limit fight today. Canelo has predicted it will go almost all the way but that he will defeat Golovkin before points are needed.
Mexican pound-for-pound king Canelo first came up against Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (GGG) in 2017. Despite some fine work by Golovkin the judges ruled the match a split draw, setting the stage for a rancorous rematch the following year. Canelo took the spoils this time but, once again, the Kazakhstani looked to have produced some superb shots.
Can Golovkin, 40, settle the score? He’s not been particularly active recently, fighting just four times since losing to Canelo in 2018, including a recent bout in Japan. The 20,000-strong crowd at the T-Mobile Arena will be mostly cheering for Alvarez, but Golovkin is as dangerous an “underdog” as you can get. Below we have all the DAZN and Azteca 7 global viewing details including the start time, full card and free viewing. Here’s how to watch a Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream from wherever you are.
Boxing fans in Mexico can stream Canelo vs GGG 3 free on Azteca 7 (opens in new tab). Travelling outside Mexico?
We recommend ExpressVPN. Full details below.
Even if you have subscribed to the relevant Canelo vs Golovkin 3 rights holders, you won’t be able to use them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle.
There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN (opens in new tab) which offers a 100 per cent risk-free money back guarantee. If you’re not happy with the service any time within the first 30-days, then you can cancel with no penalties at all.
Try ExpressVPN risk-free for 30 days (opens in new tab)
ExpressVPN hits it for six with a 30-day money back guarantee with its VPN service. You can use it to watch on your mobile, tablet, laptop, TV, games console and more. There’s 24/7 customer support and three months free when you sign-up.
Using a VPN to watch Canelo vs Golovkin 3 free on Azteca 7 is incredibly simple:
1. Install the VPN of your choice. ExpressVPN (opens in new tab) is the one we recommend.
2. Open up the VPN app and choose the location of the service you wish to access. For the boxing, you may wish to choose ‘Mexico’ for Azteca 7.
3. Then head over to Azteca 7 (opens in new tab) on your browser or device and enjoy the free Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream.
If, for whatever reason, you can’t get it working, then do remember that you have the comfort of a 30-day money back guarantee with ExpressVPN. You could also try NordVPN (opens in new tab), which also comes with a 30-day money back guarantee, and Surfshark (opens in new tab) which offers 24 hour assistance.
In the UK, DAZN subscribers must use a PPV on top of their regular charge to watch a Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream. Fortunately, it’s not that much, likely because of the unfriendly expected start time of the main event at around 4am BST. Regular UK DAZN subscription is £7.99 a month (opens in new tab). An added £9.99 PPV is required to watch the fight.
Remember: Mexicans travelling overseas can use a VPN to watch a free Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream on Azteca 7 (opens in new tab).
In the US, the Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream is also available on DAZN (opens in new tab) but this time with an eye-watering $64.99 PPV. That’s on top of a required DAZN subscription, meaning that you’ll need to pay $84.99 to watch the Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream in the States. Unless, you happen to be a Mexican citizen too. In which case…
…don’t forget: Mexican nationals can use a VPN to watch a Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream free on Azteca 7 from abroad (opens in new tab).

Wonder Woman has been around since the 1940s, using her incredible powers and god-forged weapons to fight evil and injustice in all its forms. The Amazonian warrior is known for her strength and strong morals, but like any hero, she has her weaknesses.
Even the sometime daughter of Zeus makes mistakes, and some have managed to use Wonder Woman’s most famous attributes against her. Diana may be a demigod, but she’s never been all-powerful. With such a long history, it’s not a surprise that some of her enemies have found some clever ways to turn her weaknesses against her.
Wonder Woman’s creator, William Moulton Marston, had some unusual ideas for his heroine, some of which included themes of bondage. In her original stories, and up until the 1980s, Diana’s main weakness was being bound by a man.
If captured and bound by a man, Wonder Woman couldn’t access her powers. If a woman tied her up, however, Diana remained as strong as ever. To a modern audience, it seems strange to have a hero intended to be a feminist icon weakened by a man in this way. Thankfully, this weakness has been left to history.
One of Wonder Woman’s most recognizable weapons is her Bracelets of Submission, but these actually function as a weakness. Based on certain origin stories, Wonder Woman is a demigod, making her immensely powerful.
Wonder Woman’s bracelets were made to help her control her powers. Most fans link the bracelets to Diana’s ability to deflect bullets and other attacks, but the bracelets actually limited Wonder Woman’s powers. It seemed a strange thing, but without them, her powers and her rage could get out of hand. Diana willingly accepted lesser powers if it helped her exercise control.
Diana’s other iconic weapon is the Lasso of Truth. Anyone bound by this unbreakable lasso was forced to tell the absolute truth. Wonder Woman often used the lasso to find out important information or to defeat her foes. The lasso was certainly powerful, but it sometimes proved a hinderance for Wonder Woman, too.
If someone else was to use the Lasso of Truth against Diana, she’d be compelled to tell the truth. In Superman/Batman #15 by Jeph Loeb, Carlos Pacheco, Jesús Merino, Laura Martin, and Richard Starkings, Superman used the lasso to strangle and kill Wonder Woman.
A lot of readers may think someone as powerful as Wonder Woman is invulnerable to bullets. She’s close to immortal, has regenerative abilities, and is famous for her ability to deflect bullets. However, gunshot wounds can harm and even kil her.
Luckily for Wonder Woman, she heals from non-fatal wounds, although her healing power isn’t nearly as fast as other heroes known for their healing factor. It’s a lucky thing she’s so handy with those bullet-deflecting bracelets. Without medical assistance, a critical wound will harm Wonder Woman like it would anyone else.
Whether Zeus is her father or the one who brought to life a clay statue, he and the other Gods of Ancient Greece have always been closely linked to Diana’s origin story. The Gods gave her powers to protect and lead the Amazons. This meant the Gods could also take those powers away from her.
Both in their own myths and in their depictions in DC Comics, these Gods quickly take offense and become angry. Diana has crossed the Gods on a few occasions, so it’s not unreasonable to think she’s risked punishment. Zeus can return Diana to a powerless state any time he feels like it.
The Bind of Veils is an Ancient Greek artifact, that has been likened to Superman’s Kryptonite. Appearing in comics only once, Joker found it and used it on Wonder Woman. The Bind of Veils brainwashed Wonder Woman, causing her to think Batman was her enemy and attack him.
Wonder Woman also believed she had killed the Joker. Batman managed to subdue her, and Wonder Woman finally broke free of the brainwashing. This powerful artifact hasn’t been seen since, but another villain could easily use it to turn Wonder Woman against her friends.
Batman created plans to defeat every member of the Justice League, just in case any of them turned evil. He analyzed Wonder Woman’s biology and came to the conclusion that the best way to defeat her would be to poison her.
Even though she’s half god, Diana’s human side remained vulnerable to toxins and poisons, making it possible for an attacker to get a poison into her bloodstream. One time, Wonder Woman’s old enemy Cheetah used a special poison on the Amazon warrior, causing her to think everyone around her was Cheetah and sending her into a rampage.
Wonder Woman grew up on Themyscira, an island populated entirely by Amazon warriors. Raised to be a warrior, Diana knew nothing of what the Amazons called the “Man’s World” until she was called upon to save it. This separation and training from a young age sometimes made it hard for Diana to understand and relate to humans and their concerns.
Wonder Woman deeply cared about humanity, especially her friends, but her struggles to relate could make her appear distant and cold. She’s been known to say the wrong thing in delicate situations, and it cost her friendships in the past.
Wonder Woman favors the classics when it comes to weapons, choosing things like swords and arrows. She’s been trained to use weapons like these, like any skilled Amazon, but her training also revealed she can be injured by piercing and edged weapons like these.
Wonder Woman’s stronger than average, but she can be injured, and several comics portray her with wounds or bleeding. Diana’s not immortal and even died, although she’s always returned. Wonder Woman’s own armor can cause her a problem in this area, as it leaves her arms and legs completely exposed to incoming attacks.
Wonder Woman and Superman have worked alongside each other on the Justice League for a long time. They’ve been friends, colleagues, and even DC’s ultimate power couple. As part of Batman’s need to know how to fight all his teammates, he concluded that the only hero strong enough to stop Diana was Superman.
According to Batman, Clark Kent was the only one who could match Wonder Woman’s power and defeat her. Besides his strength, it’s possible the Man of Steel could exploit his romantic connection with Diana, convincing her to let her guard down.

anelo Alvarez produced a dominant display to settle his long-running rivalry with Gennady Golovkin and retain the undisputed super-middleweight world titles on Saturday night.
The Mexican bounced back in style from his shock second career defeat at the hands of light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in May with an accomplished display in front of a partisan crowd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, securing a second victory in three meetings with his arch-nemesis that will finally turn the page on one of modern boxing’s most high-profile feuds.
But while the previous two bouts – the last of which came back in 2018 – were fiercely competitive and hugely contentious affairs between two boxing icons, there was no doubt whatsoever about the result of a highly anticipated and long overdue trilogy showdown, with Canelo easily claiming a unanimous decision triumph despite a late rally from the ageing Golovkin with scores of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113, which were very generous indeed towards ‘GGG’, to say the least.
Golovkin, who turned 40 in April, insists he has no plans to retire as he remains a unified champion back down at middleweight, while Canelo confirmed that he will require surgery on a worsening left hand injury before seeking revenge on Bivol, who first faces another Mexican in Gilberto ‘Zurdo‘ Ramirez in Abu Dhabi in November.
On Saturday’s undercard, boxing‘s youngest active world champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez, 22, retained his WBC super-flyweight belt despite having a point deducted for repeated low blows in a gruelling affair with Israel Gonzalez, who came up short in his fourth unsuccessful title challenge.
Ageing warrior Gabriel Rosado was sent one step closer to retirement after being shut out in dominant fashion by Golovkin’s fellow Kazakh Ali Akhmedov in a clash for the vacant WBC silver and IBF North American super-middleweight titles.
Northampton’s Kieron Conway initially gave a spirited performance before eventually succumbing to a wide points loss against powerful American Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams, who moved to 12-0 and picked up the WBA international middleweight title.
During the early prelims, Diego Pacheco became the WBC USNBC silver super-middleweight champion with a fifth-round stoppage of the more experienced 2012 Olympian Luis Collazo.
Marc Castro stayed undefeated with a ferocious knockout of Kevin Montiel Mendoza secured via a vicious uppercut, while Aaron Aponte was unfortunate to escape with a controversial split-decision draw in his battle with fellow undefeated lightweight Fernando Molina.
The night opened with a comfortable super-flyweight victory for Anthony ‘Superman’ Herrera against Delvin McKinley.
