The chase began around 4pm when the Department of Corrections called for help in pursuit of the suspects.

The car chase wove through the area, and the suspects tried to steal another car along the way, Fountain Police Commander Mark Cristiani said, according to the New York Post.

Officers were finally able to disable the suspects’ car around 8pm, and they fled onto the bridge.

Becerra landed in a riverbed while chasing on foot.

The suspect he was in pursuit of tried to jump from the bridge himself, but was arrested by officers before he could.

All three carjacking suspects, Anthony Vallejos, 37, Devon Bobian, 31, and Danisha Pacheco, 28, were apprehended.

Each was charged with numerous felony charges, including felonies related to the car chase.
