Professional Bull Riders Music City K… | Aug 21 | Nashville Scene

It is only acceptable to use the adjective “rank” to describe two things: a foul smell and a 1,500-pound male bovine. In the former usage, the connotation is, of course, bad. No one has ever been flattered because someone said their shoes smelled rank. The latter, however, is the highest praise. Every bucking bull breeder wants their beast to be known as one of the rankest in the world. Bridgestone Arena promises the world’s rankest bulls will be on hand when the Professional Bull Riders Music City Knockout hits town this weekend. Just how tough are the bulls? Consider that PBR is the top bull-riding circuit in the world. Thus far this season, only three riders have made it the requisite eight seconds on at least half their rides, two Brazilians — best-in-the-world Jose Vitor Leme and countryman Kaique Pacheco — and American Cooper Davis, who does his best to represent the stars and stripes in the sport that, in recent years, is increasingly dominated by the boys from Brazil. Aug. 21-22 at Bridgestone Arena, 501 Broadway J.R. LIND
