There once was a late-night host
In a First Amendment crisis, he was engrossed
His words caused a fuss
But he wouldn’t adjust
For his right to free speech, he would boast

There once was a president’s line,
That made social media users shine,

They found his words immense,
Delighting in each word so fine.

Late Night’s humor lit up in a flame.

Exposed the president’s free speech plight,

Brought laughter, not prophecy,

He tried to downplay,

Who operated on a child, oh how cute!

From a tragic event causing great pain,

A crowd gathered at U of M,
To mourn Kirk, who met a dark end.
Over 2,000 came,
In sorrow, they all felt the same,
At his event, they all came to commend.
