With a confident grin,

Who made truth seem to cower.

A statement that caused quite a shock.

There once was a president who’d spun
Claims that were far from being won
Not remotely close
His lies did impose
But truth would eventually stun

There once was a plan that would axe
Daylight saving time and a tax
But the people did shout
“We can’t do without!”
So the plan was thrown in the trash.

There once was a GOP in dread,
For a precedent filled them with dread,
With a Democratic President in sight,
They feared a future not bright,
The conservative board warned with dread.

There once was a man named Trump
Who decided to make a big jump
Sending troops to Tennessee
To keep order you see
In the city where chaos did thump
