Who gave the president a boast

It was quite fun
To see them both make a toast

There once was a president who, Trump
Boasted of his power, no slump
With menacing tone
He sat on his throne
Said he’s president of all, not a chump

There once was a person distressed,
In a waterslide they were obsessed,
Over ocean water,
They felt quite a bother,
Their sanity put to the test.

There once was a man with a gun,
Purchased legally, not on the run,
In August he bought it,
And authorities caught it,
Now the damage is all said and done.

There once was a president’s voice,
Who pressured the Department by choice,
The indictment did follow,
A campaign so hollow,
Justice now must take its course.

There once was a man named Comey
Who warned us to not go astray
“Fear is the tool of a tyrant,”
He said, with a voice defiant
Stay engaged, do not be led astray.

There once was a group known as the ACLU,
Who fought against prison conditions that were not so new.
They raised concerns about transfers and more,
Trying to even the score.
Hoping for justice to ensue.
