There once was a Late Show host so bold
Who ripped the press secretary’s role
Grade-A big brother propaganda he did find
To the White House, he was not kind
In limerick form, his critique he told
There once was a president bold,
Who would push till he met resistance cold.
The New York Times did say,
“He’ll go all the way,
Until someone his actions do scold.”
There once was a man named Trump,
Whose behavior made others jump,
Ty Cobb did declare,
That Trump was not fair,
To think he was sane was a lump.
There once was a man named Ty Cobb,
Who thought Trump was quite the snob,
He said with a grin,
“He’s lost his mind, my friend,
No one believes he’s sane on the job.”
A president’s words in Switzerland
Caused concern, causing folks to frown
His comments, so brash
Made many hearts crash
In diplomatic waters, he did drown
There once was a Dem from New York,
Who criticized the president’s ways,
His actions were erratic,
That was quite problematic,
So the Dem had plenty to say.
There once was a doc known as Oz,
Who said, “Work an extra year, just because.”
To keep folks in good health,
Was his plan for our wealth,
But retirement dreams might take pause.
There once was a team full of smarts,
With ideas that set them apart,
As leaders grew old,
Their views became cold,
Young minds will soon take the charts.
There once was a host named Chris Hayes
Who said under Trump, the US strays
Like an Axis power they act
Causing quite a big impact
In the news, this topic always stays
There once was a news program quite funny,
With a montage that showed something crummy,
MAGA pundits, they’re biased,
Their views often disguised,
In comedy, they’re just not sunny.
