There once was a skier named Horishima
Whose jump left him off-balance, a dilemma
But he finished with grace
In the dual moguls race
At the Milan Cortina Games, what an enigma
There once was a skater named Kok
Whose speed was as fast as a clock
She won the gold medal
Her time was so stellar
At the Olympics, she took the top block
There once was a skier named Klaebo
Who won gold at the Games in Milano
His fourth victory bold
Shared record of old
With three Norwegians, quite the tableau
There once was a skier so bold,
She won gold, then another to hold.
With Sara and Thea,
Sharing silver they’d see,
In the snow, this Italian was gold.
There once was a winter event,
Spanning days, its impact was meant,
In Nevada and Oregon,
Cold weather was born,
Bringing snow, its presence was lent.
The Trump administration’s stance
on deals for deportees from Cameroon’s lands
has not been made clear,
no agreement appears,
to send migrants back to that African expanse.
There once was a man named Rubio
Who at a conference did go
VP Vance had his say
About Europe one day
But Rubio’s speech stole the show
There once was a senator from Penn,
Who voted for DHS funding, and then,
The only Dem in the mix,
He caused quite a big fix,
But his reasons he wouldn’t defend.
There once was a president who, quite crass,
Shared a video that was way, way off base,
Depicting the Obamas as apes,
Such racism, a terrible disgrace,
Inappropriate actions, alas.
There once were some TSA men
Who worked through a shutdown just then
But the experts now say
This one might go astray
Let’s hope things work out in the end
