There once was a president so keen
Who planned a “midterm convention” scene
Critics warned it could backfire
On the GOP, a dire mire
A risky move that could turn green
There’s a “veneer” the president flaunts,
Says The New York Times in its taunts,
Maintained with great care,
For all to beware,
In a facade that nobody wants.
A man named David Streever in Finland
Had his wife warned by officers, quite grim
For an email he’d sent
Months ago, they were bent
On claiming it was threatening, the claim was quite thin.
There once was a player named Mbappé
Who in World Cup did display
A brilliant step over
And a second-half rover
Scoring record broken that day
There once was a VP quite stern,
Who saw signs that made her heart yearn,
For a time long ago,
When signs didn’t show,
Inclusivity, justice, or concern.
There once were three brave firefighters,
In Colorado, they faced deadly fires.
Trump’s agency’s plan,
Was to stomp out each brand,
But now their fate sadly transpires.
There once were some notes that were phony,
The FBI found them quite bologna,
One in February,
And a recent memory,
Inauthenticity they did decry.
