Who ever thought America could turn like this?”
Asked the “Pretty Woman” movie star, feeling amiss.
In a nation divided, with chaos unbound,
Unity lost, democracy teetered, profound.
Now she wonders what comes after such a twist.
There once was a strategist so wise,
Said he’d never seen such political lies,
From a party’s top boss,
He exclaimed with great loss,
In all his years, a shock to his eyes.
There once was a president who’d tweet,
His social media use hard to beat.
Each evening online,
His posts would shine,
Never missing a single tweet.
There once was a president bold
Whose Truth Social posts were untold
More than one per hour
For his social media power
His messages were quite a stronghold
A political operative’s plan,
To send Rogers a birthday wish grand,
But it all went awry,
And made Rogers cry,
Now the operative’s fate is in hand.
There once was a host late at night,
Who shared a photo, oh what a sight!
As a reminder to all,
He stood proud and tall,
In the glow of the stage’s bright light.
There once was a troll who went awry,
His insults fell flat, oh my oh my.
He tried to be mean,
But was easily seen,
And ended up feeling quite shy.
There once was a president renowned
Who wanted to add something, he was bound
To the White House it went
A permanent addition, content
On the grounds where history is found.
There once was a Speaker named Nancy,
Her power in the House was quite fancy,
Emerita she stayed,
In the district she made,
The outcome was her sway, very chancy.
In an art world driven by wealth and ties,
She held onto a sense of what’s wise.
With purpose in sight,
She avoided the fight,
And emerged as a beacon that shines.
