There once was a star from “Avatar,”
Whose director’s call didn’t falter,
After winning for “Emilia Pérez,”
She reflected on the day,
In Hollywood, her talent did alter.
There once was an actor so grand
Who wanted to help us understand
Through a movie he made
The challenges we all must evade
Golden Globe-winning, he had a plan
There once was a president bold,
Who warned the truth must be told,
Don’t forget the attack,
On the Capitol, fight back,
Let the history books unfold.
There once was a star from “The Substance”
Who fought back at a comment so intense
The Hollywood producer’s cruel crime
Corroded her over time
But she stood strong in her defense
There once was a star named Moore
Who reminded her co-star to adore
“Respect the balance,” she said
As they took the stage ahead
At the award ceremony they both did explore
There once was a man named Ratner
Accused by women, his career was a crater
At least six came forward
With stories untoward
In the Me Too movement, he was a traitor
There once was a man named Schumer,
Who claimed Biden’s mind was no bummer.
He said with a grin,
It’s just right-wing spin,
But some found his words a real stunner.
A vet named Shamsud-Din Jabbar,
Recorded the French Quarter afar.
Before the New Year,
He caused great fear,
By killing 14 with a scar.
There once was a storm, oh so strong
Snow and ice, wind that didn’t belong
Central U.S. was hit
Travel was unfit
Dangerous conditions all day long
There once was a platform called TikTok,
For creators, it was a big clock.
Now in limbo they wait,
For the court’s final fate,
Hoping their livelihoods won’t be docked.
