There once was a man named George Retes
Tear-gassed and pepper-sprayed in a blaze
Identified as a citizen true
Still treated like a criminal to pursue
In his car forcibly dragged, in a daze
A young girl named Yu Zidi
Ran times that made fans quite giddy
With speed and with grace
She’d have won the race
At Paris Olympics, what a pity
There once was a man who did dread,
Being linked to a sex offender, it’s said.
Trump’s VP did proclaim,
That those with such fame,
Should face public scrutiny instead.
There once was a Rep. named Raskin
Who pondered Trump’s files in the basket
With concerns that were troubling,
He wondered why they’re juggling,
Releasing more info’s the task in.
There once were some lawmakers so bold
Challenging deportation officials, they were told
Accessing Medicaid data
Proved quite the hot potato
The legality, they sought to uphold
A criminal faced a decision,
His conviction brought a life-long vision.
Locked away in a cell,
His freedom, a farewell,
His sentence, a lifetime admission.
There once was a man named Peter
Whose union job did not meter
He was fired with haste
During his probationary taste
Now he’s searching for work that is sweeter
There once was a man named Trump
Whose ideas made Pelosi grump
She called his plan stupid
And said he’d been duped
His visit she scoffed with a jump
There once was a man named Trump
Who caused the stock market to jump
With talk of firing the Fed
Investors filled with dread
But the market eventually found a bump
There once was a musician fantastic,
Whose talent was truly elastic.
The rep proudly said,
“He’s doing well, not dead,”
In the music world, he’s made a mark drastic.
