Seeking out posts they found offensive,
On social media they’d lurk,
Looking for posts about Kirk,
Their actions were quite assertive.

There once was a reporter named Shawn,
Who thought he’d be remembered at dawn,
He said with a smile,
In just a short while,
Maybe fame will finally be drawn.

There once was a late show host who
Praised the president for a view so
Shockingly sensible, it
Was hard to believe, but legit,
A rare moment of praise, it’s true.

There once were conservatives who blamed
Democrats and the media, they aimed
To assign all the blame
For a fatal shooting’s claim
But their accusations were easily defamed

There once was a person at home
Watching TV while outside did smoke roam
With a start, they recalled
That they weren’t alone after all
In the apartment where they did roam

There once was a host from Fox News,
Who held back her tears with great blues,
Describing the attack so fatal,
Her emotions, she couldn’t curtail,
In recounting the terrible news.
