There once were two brothers named Tate,
Influencers who sealed a bad fate,
In Miami they got caught,
By the law, they were sought,
Now in jail, they’ll have to wait.
There once was a strike in Kuwait,
Iran caused significant debate,
Hit a plant and oil site,
Left destruction in sight,
Their actions spurred much hate.
There once were some fires in Ontario,
And the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, don’t cha know?
They burned wild and free,
In Canada and Minnesota, you see,
The firefighters worked to end the fiery show.
There once were two men who did find
Through DNA, they’d been so maligned
Switched at birth long ago
Their true lives didn’t know
Hospital’s to blame, all entwined
There once was a singer on tour
Always working, she wanted more
With love she did toil
Her heart all a-boil
In her work she found joy to the core
There once was a strategist bold
Who thought CNN was too cold
For not airing live
The president’s strive
Their decision he strongly scolded
There once was a woman who got shot,
But luckily, she was fine, not distraught.
Her injury was not grave,
She was treated and saved,
And soon was back to the life she sought.
There once was some lettuce from Mexico,
Served by Taco Bell, causing quite a show,
Parasite cyclospora,
Caused diarrhea, no hora,
In five states, the outbreak did grow.
There once was an attorney, so bright
Defending a brother’s rights
“You cannot shoot first
And ask questions later,” he nursed
For justice, he’d put up the fight
There once was a man with no warrants
His record was free of all grants
The police had a look
In their big black book
And found he was clean, no chance for rants
